Instead of letting small issues like this slide, take the tiny-but-impactful action of prompting one teammate to store a shared file in a shared space.

This one nudge can do more than just fix a one-off problem—it models good knowledge-sharing habits and builds toward a culture of transparency and accessibility.

When you notice a file isn’t accessible to others, don’t overthink it. Keep your message friendly, clear, and direct.

📂 Here’s what your message might look like:

• Hey! I noticed the doc is in your personal folder—I think others might need access too. Do you mind moving it to our shared drive so everyone can see it? Thanks!

Or if it’s a pattern you want to shift more broadly:

• Quick ask—Can we make sure that anything related to [Project X] lives in the shared folder from now on? That makes everything easier to find and reference later.

Every small nudge contributes to a more connected, informed, autonomous team.
